Dave was born in Westhope, North Dakota on October 7, 1941. Dave founded the firm in 1978 after having engaged in the private practice of law in Fargo, North Dakota since 1965. Dave earned his BS/BA in 1963 from the University of North Dakota and graduated with honors/order of coif from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1965. Dave practiced mainly in commercial law and litigation, business start-ups, debtor/creditor and bankruptcy representation and litigation, collection, real estate, and estate planning. Dave was admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota and 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Dave is now retired from the firm.
